I've had a rough week. Mills is sick and so we've kept her inside. Juan has been really busy and gone 16 hours a day. I did really good the first few days, cleaning, exercising, cooking, journaling, reading. I read my scriptures every day and prepared my lesson I will be teaching this Sunday. I did a lot of things that I love to do.
And then the emotional meltdown came. And I did nothing. And wallowed. And what brought me out of my rough patch? The zoo! Free day at the zoo, Amelia's first time to the zoo. And a good amount of sunshine. Just what I needed.

| Amelia having a stare down with the monkey. She wasn't so sure about any of the animals. |
 |
| First ride on the carousel, she loved it. |
I'd say Amelia was more excited by the kids than the animals. She was constantly waving at everyone, and it was free admission, there were A LOT of kids running around. Her little slice of heaven.

| Oh and Amelia is climbing now. She climbs, and then she yells for me to come help her down. (These toys are all my mom's, btw. I can't wait until I get to pick out a dollhouse for her.) |
Which she is saying Ma ma now. You saw how excitedly she says Da da, well Ma ma is quite opposite. It's always in a cry, like ma ma please I need you. And she repeats over and over until I come help, ma ma ma ma ma. Melts my heart.

That's so cute! Free admission at a zoo? I've never seen that before. It must've been a lot of fun!
yay for zoo trips. especially free ones :)
oh . . . and carly didn't really catch on to a sippy cup until she was like 14 months old. maybe she is good at transitioning because she does everything late? haha.
I can sympathize with you totally! When hubby's are gone from long hours for a long period of time sometimes life gets dreary. You know when I am in that "blah" state I just have to make plans too. Free days are the best, sometimes crazy but really great. You should plan a girls night or drop of your princess to someones house and just have some Cami time it always tends to brighten my situation:)
I bet Amelia was so confused by the animals. The other people just seemed to be familiar and safe to her.
I'm glad that you found something to get you out of your rut!!
Hooray for the zoo! I'm glad it helped so much. Amelia looks very concerned by the monkey. It's so much fun to see them notice and try out so many different things. The whiney Mom never goes away btw.
I'm so glad that you were able to get out and find a fun thing to do. I've found that I've been spending a lot of time inside too, unpacking and having us all be sick. It's amazing what just going out does! And it's so cute that she says your name now! It's cute that they already look to you for help
The zoo looks so fun! I'm excited that it's getting to be a bit warmer so we can spend more time outside.
Britta is the same way with saying Mama! It's only when she's sad.
I am sorry you have had a rough week. Those are crazy long hours Juan is working. The zoo looks so fun! I hope Amelia feels better soon!
Loving the carousel??? I think that means it is time for her first trip to disneyland!! :) you can stay with us!
By the way, meilani and michael isa me, tiffany. My sister was on my phone last checking her email. Sorry z. Love tiff conley
I know where you're at right now. Curt works most Saturdays too. That's great you were able to go to the zoo, I'm currently without a car right now and it's brutal.
