Better than imagined

It was so good! Thank you to my sister Heather for getting the tickets for us, and for thinking of me. I got the Wicked soundtrack a few years ago and never imagined I'd being seeing the play for years and years. Well it happened. The actors were so perfect. They were everything I pictured and more. I didn't realize it was going to be so funny, but there were several laugh out loud moments.

We got yelled at for taking this picture inside the theater, but I thought I'd post it anyway. I'm such a rebel.

Wicked Tomorrow!!!

I've been listening to the soundtrack all day and am over-the-moon excited!

In other news:

I for one don't mind April snow. The ride to work the other day was so beautiful, I just had to snap this picture. Any snow that doesn't equal icey roads is welcome in my book.

Ginger has been in town, we caught Griffin's soccer game in Tooele this weekend.

Cheesin' it for the camera.

The weekend was full of partying and game nights. My sleep schedule is super messed up. Saturday night we went to sleep at 2 am, Sunday took a 4 hour nap resulting in not getting tired until 2 am last night! I was at work by 7 am this morning since Juan had a 7 am final. I'm usually a solid 11 pm asleep kind of girl! Time to get back on schedule.

Seussical the Musical

I am a lover of musicals. High School Musical, Hairspray, Wicked, 7 Brides, anything and everything musical. The new musical on the block (for me at least, I may be behind) is Seussical the Musical. It is a musical based on Dr Seuss books. We had the joy of attending my 11 year old nephew's performance on Saturday night. Josh played Dr Dake and was complete hilarity on that stage, we were in an uproar of laughter each time he made an appearance. Here are some of us at the play:
Juan, the self-proclaimed hater of musicals was also in attendance and enjoyed it thoroughly. He talks and talks about hating them all, but he sure attends a lot of musicals with me! Does he have a hidden love inside there? I think so.

We also celebrated Easter. The Easter bunny visited our house and filled our basket with treats and gifts. The whale penny bank in Juan's basket is the cutest thing in the world. Love it.

Pizzeria 712

Another review. I've been reading local successful blogs, where they have paid advertisers and such. And they do reviews. Well because of this I've wanted to try these places, and now I'm convinced that these are paid reviews, such as, I'll pay you money to give my restaurant a good review. Rude.

On this particular blog, Pizzeria 712 was dubbed "best place to eat in Utah County". Come on, really?

I liked it. Very fresh, very healthy tasting, very artsy. Some of the paintings were creepy. They brought out pita bread and hummus as the appetizer. I couldn't help laughing, it just seemed so new-age, and with Juan beside me, it was just too quaint for him. I ordered the braised beef panini which on the menu said it came with a salad. The salad was a tiny cup of wheat rice mixed with dried apricots and nuts. Again a laughable moment. It was tasty, I really liked the salad and the panani. Juan's pizza was ok, very thin, floppy crust, possibly pita bread-ish. The pizza tasted 'healthy' to me. Which in pizza is not a good taste. Juan did like it though, but it left him still hungry. We finished with a cookie ice cream dessert which was scrumptious, but small. Juan said, is this the first helping of the dessert?

As we sat there I thought, this is the kind of place celebs eat and how they stay skinny. We eat out a lot, and maybe we need to take the more healthier route! We left and noticed the cars in the parking lot, lexus, jaguar, suv, suv, suv... all brand new. Guess it's a winner for the rich.

I love how this was completely mixed. Overall I enjoyed it, and would go back again. I can be artsy too.

Weekends

Last weekend my niece Sami was baptized. Her mom and dad rented out a whole bowling place for the family to bowl all they want for 2 hours. It was so much fun and reminded me of my not-so-awesome bowling skills. Here are some pictures.
I just love the genuine agony on Griffin's face as he's asked to stay for just 1 more picture.

All that were there at the baptism.

This weekend was conference weekend, and oh how I love it. It was so relaxing. We spent Saturday cleaning, doing laundry, and lounging as we watched conference. That night we went to my parents' house and got Cafe Rio and chatted away. Sunday I was determined to stay at home all day and not even get ready for the day. I did manage to not get ready, BUT Juan thwarted my stay-at-home plans by making us go up to South Jordan again because he had left his diabetes kit there the night before. We ended up having lunch with my parents, which was so nice of them to squeeze us in last second. It was a perfect weekend, I am almost done with my book-Little Women which I have thoroughly enjoyed, I just wish it was a little shorter.
