My dear friend Kasee does not disappoint. She took pictures of the kids yet again and captured the sweetest shots that I will cherish forever.
Maya gave us quite a few hilarious, fake smiles.
And then we got this gem. I love that the girls both loosened up and became more natural when Oscar came around. Sibling love.
And then some every day shots from my phone. I am 2 months away from getting an iPhone, and then these pictures will be better quality.
A day at the park, high 70s in January. My obligatory Texas brag, I just love it so much.
And a day at the circus! Juan surprised us with a Saturday adventure, with friends coming along as well.
New bunk beds. The girls have been playing for three hours each night after we put them to bed. Not a joke. Literally 3 hours. Silently, but still not sleeping. And crying more during the days from lack of sleep. Needless to say, they LOVE their new room with their bunk beds.
We had a cute party with her during the day on Friday.
And then we celebrated as a family on her actual birthday.
She was so so cute as everyone was singing to her, you could just see how special she felt.
Some group shots. Silly kiddos.
And my lovely friends who all came to party with us!
There are so many things we love about Maya.
She and Amelia have really become best friends in the past 6 months. When I dropped Amelia off at preschool this week, her first day back, I said to Maya: Isn't it fun, just me, you and Oscar now? And she looked down and whined, "I miss her."
She and Oscar really have a bond as well. She was sitting on the floor playing and Oscar crawled over and just continually hugged her over and over. She is very patient with him.
Maya loves to play pretend. She will come and eat and say, can I be done? I want to go play. Every second she can get, she is playing with her Strawberry Shortcake or Lalaloopsy mini dolls. We haven't even left the house today, they have put in at least 4 hours and are still going strong.
Maya loves to sing Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam, and Slippery Fish, and Popcorn Popping. Every Sunday on the way to and from church, she loves for us all to sing.
She loves to dance to music video, The Walker being her all-time favorite and also inspired her angry stomp she does when she gets upset.
Maya is completely potty-trained, night and all.
