This weekend Twilight was released on DVD and I liked the movie and thought, yeah I'll add it to my DVD collection. Friday during work I read about how Macey's grocery stores (random, yes) were doing Twilight DVD release parties. So what do I do, go home and convince Juan to go to Macey's with me at 11:45 pm. I like to people watch at this stuff. We drive to Macey's and see no signs for the big blast so we decided to walk around the inside perimeter of the store. As we're getting to the end of the round, we see a group of 4 people gathered around a Macey's worker who is bouncing a bouncy ball. They were wearing Twilight t-shirts. That was the party folks. Needless to say, Juan and I were too cool for that and walked quickly by and left the store without even waiting the few minutes for the DVD to come out at midnight!
Then this morning I get a text from my sister Ginger asking if I've bought the dvd yet. No. She tells me Target has a 3 disc special and the 3rd disc is an iTunes download. That would be cool to have it on my iPod, so I tell her I'll probably go get it this afternoon. She tells me I better call ahead because out in Boston the 2 Targets by her were sold out and she had to drive 30 minutes away to get her copy (she told me to blog about this, but she's sounding like just as big of a nerd). So this being Provo I panic, if they're sold out in Boston, they're definitely sold out here. I look up on Target online, the Orem store has some available. I call Target so they can hold it for me. I'm talking to the guy in Electronics and he says, when are you going to come? Because as of a few minutes ago we have 600 copies. I felt like a big nerd, like I was some hysterical 13 year old making sure I would have my copy of Twilight. Ha ha, it makes me laugh.

I really love these stories, even the one that makes me out to look like a Twilight geek. I don't mind. I didn't drive to the locations that were out, I did just looked online and drove directly to the one 30 minutes away.
Thanks for the laugh. I have been thinking about it since you told me and I just keep laughing to myself.
That is too funny-I probably would have walked by laughing too, seeing the group of 4 people!
It was great to see you in the temple the other day!
That is too funny Cami! I bet the guy thought you were a 13 year old girl. I'm glad you secured your DVD at least.
I liked the movie but I don't think I'm going to add it to my movies. So I'll have to borrow yours when I get the itch to watch it again. Good stories!
Cami, this is a hilarious story! I can totally imagine us in a similar situation, probably not with Twilight but something else -- Harry Potter or something. It's a problem when you like something that some people are obsessed with. There ought to be some sort of way to set the likers-but-not-lovers apart. By the way, did you mention something about doing dinner sometime? Can I just mention that we would love that? :)
