Independence Day

We started out our big Fourth of July celebration with the annual 3rd of July party in the neighborhood I grew up. It's so good to meet up with old friends and is a great way to keep up with childhood friends' lives. My favorite part of the night is the sing-a-long where we all sit around and sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game and Goober Peas. This year the sound system went out before we were able to do the dance-a-long. Below is a picture that Crystal took of us doing the Macarena last year. Good times.

Friday we had a barbecue at my parent's house in South Jordan. We stayed there all day until 9 pm. I wasn't planning on staying that long, but Juan got into this tv show on the Revolution that was 7 hours long! He, my dad, and Darren watched that all day. B-o-r-i-n-g. Ha ha, just kidding, I'm sure it was a very patriotic program to watch. Juan and I went on home to Provo and watched the fireworks from the Provo Library.

Saturday we watched tv and played MarioKart and MarioParty all day. We managed to leave the house for the Olive Garden and a trip to Target, but that was it. I love the days when we hibernate in the house all day and do virtually nothing. And stay out of the heat, it is hot here!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!
