I do want to review my most recent read, Hunger Games.
Loved it.It is young adult fiction which I love because they are easy reads, and always relatively clean so I don't get a surprise (like I did in a recent Jodi Picoult book, which I won't be reading her anymore. She gets vulgar for no necessary reason, ick.)
It is about a future society where The Capitol always wants to make sure the surrounding towns know they are in The Capitol's control, so they hold the Hunger Games yearly. They hat-pick a boy and a girl from each town, between 12-18 years old and these 24 kids go and fight in an arena to the death. Yes they fight until they are the only ones living. It does sound violent I agree, but it was such a good book and I could not put it down. The story is very unique and I'm not a writer, so I don't know about writing techniques or anything, just that I was pulled in and enthralled. That's good writing to me.
