How Many Babies? + Videos!

My pregnancy is relatively easy but the exhaustion this pregnancy has been through the roof. I am already born with somewhat lazy genes, and then tag on 2 toddlers and being 7 months pregnant, Juan has been doing it all. We had a particularly hard 6th month of pregnancy where we really had the conversation of, can we do this again? I already know that I love babies, I will always want a baby. But then in the evenings, when we're all together and the girls are just so fun I'll ask Juan, can you really tell me you won't yearn for that cute voice of a 3 year old in our home? Or can you really handle being done with one year olds in our home in just 2 years? Age 1 is just the best. Did I skip over age 2? Yes, yes I did (mostly because she was a runner!). My girls are the best ages right now. I LOVE to hear Amelia talk and sing and her imagination is taking off and her curiosity is the best thing ever. I always wanted to know what my babies were thinking, and with my 3 year old, she tells me everything that's on her mind. It is glorious.

I have been trying to take more video because I want these ages etched in my mind forever. I want to always remember how cute they are.

My Baby Shower

Yes I had a baby shower for baby #3. People here are just too nice and it was a very nice night to celebrate my sweet baby boy. I do love my friends, they are just the best. Steph and I are due 2 weeks apart, so we combined our shower and invited just a few friends. It was so chill and fun and we had ice cream sundaes. It was at my place! My passion is NOT hosting parties (or maybe the turn off is cleaning the house before said party). But every now and then it is nice to have people over to our home. Here are some pictures from the night.

Amber made us these cute banners for decorations and then we get to keep them for the baby's room! Mine (above) is still up in my entry way. I love it.

 Jen, Amber, Sherry.
Amber is the one who made the decorations and threw the shower for us. Such a good friend, thanks Amber!

And here's the whole group! I loved all my cute boy gifts, it really gets me excited to get this guy here and dressed in his cute clothes. In 2 months. I keep feeling like it's closer, still 2 months away.

In other news we did a photo shoot with Amelia today. She watched a few minutes of Project Runway with me the other day and ever since she has been talking about Fashion Shows. And she is the one that came up with walking with her hands on her hips:
It was the perfect opportunity to snap a few pictures.
And this outfit was a splurge ($15 for the outfit, more than what I usually spend). But I couldn't pass up that cute shirt!
 Well worth it.

And last weekend, some friends and I went and got pedicures! Jen is due in 9 days with a boy, I am on edge with excitement. Her first.
 Jen

All of us out to lunch afterwards.\
 Steph, Allison, Kasee.

As I said, I love my friends. I am so lucky to have all of them in my life. Thank you ladies!

Amelia's new bed

I told you we were furnishing this house! Amelia recently got a new bed, and Maya got a matching one too for when she is ready to move on from the crib. We got Amelia's all set up and I got my quilt that I had been waiting to go on sale. I think it is so cute and she is so happy to sleep in her bed each night. Today when I woke her up from nap she said, I stayin in my bed, I love my room.

Because Maya's cute when she sleeps too.

Amelia and I have been having some pretty awesome conversations lately. Just today when she broke her sunglasses she said, "They very special to me mommy. Because you gave them to me. I very sad."

And we were at the church for a minute tonight and talking about some pictures of Jesus on the wall. She said, "Jesus helps me and He protects me". And I said, Yes Heavenly Father and Jesus are always there to watch over you and protect you. And then she said, "Yeah and Santa too!" Hmm Santa is kind of in a different category, haha.

New Couch

We got a new couch! We've been wanting something to fill our family room a little more and so we saved up for a sectional. It is amazing, so comfortable and we love it.

We also had a wonderful Labor Day! We went on a picnic in the morning and it was just the best time!

And more dress up pictures. I just die from the cuteness.

And Maya and her Bunny Sadie. She just loves this bunny and plays with it all day. And is this not the sweetest picture of Miss Maya?

Glass Slippers

A little while back, Amelia saw these glass slippers at the store. She instantly fell in love and had to have them. She didn't even say her normal, I ask Santa for this. She carried them around the store and then reluctantly set them by the candy bars as I checked out. There were tears.

So we got home and made a sticker chart. She has been having a hard time going to bed at night and just generally being obedient. So every time she stayed in her room for naps or bedtime, she got a sticker. And every time she said, Yes Mom and was obedient right away, she got a sticker too.
It took a couple weeks, but finally the chart was filled! She was so proud. And she insisted Daddy go with her to the store to get her Glass Slippers.
And lucky enough, the Cinderella shoes were on a great sale, so we got to pick out some Belle shoes too so that Maya can play dress up as well. I have too much fun buying these cute things for my girls, especially when they play with them non-stop and can Maya get any cuter?
She loves to click around the kitchen in them.

We had a rainy day this week where we ate lunch outside as it poured rain around us. It was so much fun!

 Maya and her big eyes.

We have been having some slow summer days. Most days are really great with the girls playing together for long periods of time and just being more independent. Some days (like today) are filled with mischievous Amelia and lots of frustration on my part. And Juan coming home to a wife who is trying not to be a complete, needy mess. And yes, we are adding another one in just 2 1/2 months! Yikes people.

Vacation!!!

We went to Utah for our first Family Reunion on my side! We figured it was time, with 18 grand-kids and a few of us scattered over the country. It was such a fun trip to see nieces and nephews who are almost adults now and just catch up with everyone. We loved seeing Amelia play with her cousins and she seems like such a big kid keeping up with all of them.

First day was Lagoon! That is Utah's very own amusement park.

Amelia went on all the kiddie rides, even the roller coasters and the kid equivalent of the giant drop! She was so gutsy, it was so fun to see.

Maya and I watching on the side (photo bombed by Ginger). We weren't always this happy to be just watching.

Here's Maya in super pout mode. She really didn't like missing out on the rides.

Day 2 was family picture day! My parents, their 7 children, spouses, 18 grandchildren. Yeah it was chaos. We are still waiting to see how they turned out.

But didn't I get the best ever last minute romper for Maya? Bought this day-of, it is the cutest thing.

Sister hug.

Our whole family at Lagoon, we all wore the matching t-shirts. It was pretty awesome.

Juan looking thrilled.

And the sister pic.

A visit with my dear friend Margarita.

And Mill chillin' with the big kids.

Not pictured: We saw Miriam and her beautiful family and new house! We missed seeing Andrea, we were all set up for a Sunday breakfast and then Matt got sick :( We ate at Cafe Rio of course and had a bbq at Paul and Rachelle's on Sunday, their backyard is amazing. And we did a lot of sitting around and talking, just how I like it.

It is already mid-August! It was a great final summer trip. We are getting ready to start up a pre-school co-op. I am stalking Craig's list for a bunk bed for the girls, and we have a few more boxes to organize and put into storage before the baby comes. Which is 3 months away! Time is flying!
