First up, we braved the cold and went downtown to watch them light the big Christmas Tree. They did an hour-long program before they actually lit the tree, which was a bit of a nightmare with a crying 10 month old in the stroller, and a restless 2 year old on foot in a HUGE crowd. And wait, did I say we braved the cold? That's a lie, it was 75 degrees and wonderful- the only plus side to the hour wait.
Fake snow.
I managed to rock Maya to sleep.
Mr Santa.
In the end, I found it all worth it. They set off fireworks and we did a countdown to the Lighting and Amelia was SO into it and excited.
Plus I got to watch Juan have a conniption every time they started a new song (and further delayed the Lighting). Juan's not appreciative of the children's choir, Scrooge.
And our Miss Maya is 10 months old!
So many changes this month. She has the walker down by now, and is very fast on it.
She has mastered picking up toys off the floor while standing and straightening back up without falling.
She can sit back up after being in crawling position which has made for a lot more sitting still playtime.
She has graduated from baby food and eats everything we eat now, most of the time a bigger serving than Amelia. And she loves to feed herself, always trying to be like big sis.
I definitely see her cousin Judson in a lot of these pics. Right Crystal? From his baby pictures?
She is still bald on top but for real has almost a little curl forming in the back, a good amount of hair.
She is gorgeous and always happy and a good sport with Amelia wrestling, poking, grabbing at her all the time. She loves her sister and cracks up at almost everything she does. She is mama's little girl and is getting to be more of a snuggler every day. We just love her so much.
And lastly, a couple weeks ago we went to a Murder Mystery party for my friend Kasee's birthday. I turned out to be the murderer! And it was so much fun. I played the part of miss Drama Queen. Juan was lawyer extraordinaire, and everyone just had the best time. Thank you Kasee for throwing such an awesome party!

Her cheeks and chin are just like Judson's. I went back on my blog and looked at pictures and it was surprising that Maya has such little hair. I hadn't thought of it before. I thought maybe Amelia just had a ton of hair, but I gave Judson his first haircut at 10 months-ish. How funny. I'm glad she's getting curl.
So jealous of the tree lighting in the 75 degree weather. How nice, and how brave of you guys!! Good Job!!
Your girls are SO cute! We're have weather in the 70s here too. We still decorated for Christmas already though. :)
They light the Christmas tree so early there. I can just imagine Juan dying every time the choir starts another song. That's so funny! Fireworks too, so fun! Maya is such a big girl now. She is going to be running when we see you in December. Amelia is really getting tall too. She looks almost too big to hold. The murder mystery sounds great and I'm sure you had a blast! You look gorgeous!
I can't believe Maya is looking SO much older! And she's growing little curls now?! Can't wait to see. You dressed like the perfect drama queen. How fun to be the murderer!
Oh I want to go to a tree lighting! How fun. I can not believe Maya is 10 months already. The year mark is going to sneak up so quickly with the holidays. She is going to be walking so soon. She is so determined to do all the big girl things Amelia is doing.
Oh don't you miss the snow, just a little...I mean really, fake snow! :) How fun to go to the lighting of the Christmas tree. I can only imagine Juan hating the children's choir. I am still amazed how fast Maya is growing and changing. She is such a cutie, I love the baldness...but curls! Just like Amelia. I loved reading about your murder mystery party and to be the murderer...I love it! I miss you terribly. Can't wait for Christmas to come so we can see you!!
I LOVE your make up for the party!! You are truly lucky to have such an amazing group of friends to do fun things with!
I sure hope I get to meet this cute little girl this summer. I know I have been a lame aunt...but it just seems like we keep missing each other. We are decorating for Christmas today, I think little Maya looks so much like Crystal with her big brown eyes. I love murder mystery dinners. I am going to have to put one together for the holidays with some friends. You look so cute in your boa and glasses. Your hair is curled really cute. Enjoy the holidays.
